Our Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) take a holistic approach to your health care so as to help you realize effective, lasting improvement in your relationships and your personal wellbeing.
We treat a wide range of serious clinical problems including:
- Grief / loss
- Marital problems
- Child-parent problems
- Teenage issues
- Parenting disagreements
What is unique about our service? Our extensive, advanced training is not just in psychotherapy, but is broadened to family systems. This means we address the individual person in the context of family patterns of behavior. Research indicates this unique approach can be more effective than standard and/or individual treatments for many mental health problems.
We regularly practice short-term therapy, with average treatment lasting 12 sessions. Marital/couples therapy and family therapy both can typically require less time than the average individualized treatment. About half the treatment we provide is one-on-one, with the other half divided between marital/couples and family therapy (or a combination thereof).
In short, Marriage and Family Therapy is brief, solution-focused, specific with clear goals, and designed with the "end in mind".
