Arielle Chiarelli, MFT Intern

Arielle Chiarelli, MFT Intern

CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her

From a young age, Arielle knew she wanted to work in a field that highlighted the importance of human connection. Arielle’s desire to become a therapist began when she took a class on law and ethics in high school. Through this coursework, she developed a deep interest in understanding how the larger systems we are a part of affect the individual self. This led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology, Crime & Justice from Suffolk University. Currently, Arielle is pursuing her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University.

Arielle welcomes individuals, couples, and families who are seeking support with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship distress, and trauma. After years of working as a teacher’s assistant and child caregiver, she has practical experience working in child development and with families going through separation. Though Arielle has a background working with children and families, she is additionally - and especially - passionate about advocating for bodily autonomy and combating weight bias. Arielle carries this passion into her work as a therapist by educating and supporting clients who are on their journey towards body neutrality and self-acceptance. Arielle is a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH) and utilizes the Health at Every SizeⓇ principles in her work with clients.

With Arielle you will find a collaborative, affirming outlet for exploration and discovery. Her goal is to create a space of non-judgement and fluidity while leaving room for constant transformation of the self. Some modalities used in session with Arielle include Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems Theory. She values the importance of learning about what makes you you while also tapping into systemic theory to dive deeper into patterns in your story. Arielle aims to create a space of equity and encourages feedback to ensure she meets you where you are at.

"You can’t skip chapters, that’s not how life works. You have to read every line, meet
every character. Stories keep the world revolving. Live yours, don’t miss out.
